It’s music for music’s sake, says 80s rocker Billy Squier

Can you imagine the late-night conversations that come out of Ringo and his All-Starrs tours?

Take 2006, for example, with the likes of Billy Squier, Richard Marx, Edgar Winter and Sheila E winding down with the former Beatles drummer after a Starr-studded jam.

"That’s the best," admitted Squier, who returned to tour with Starr in 2008. "There’s certainly a lot of history in the group, in Ringo alone, for that matter. But everyone had their nuggets."

In Squier’s case, it was enough to convince the legendary rocker, who had stepped away from his "long and varied road," to hit the stage again for the pure joy of making music.
