It was 1982 and I was about to make my first big foray into 80s music. I had just received a hand me down record player/stereo and my parents had finally relented and allowed me to join The Columbia House Music Club. This was the album by mail club where you receive 8 free albums just for joining up. MTV did not exist in my area of the country, so I was dependant on the radio to help me decide what albums to order. Below were the choices I made:
